SALISBURY Foggy’s, a support group for people with fibromyalgia and other rheumatic conditions, were joined by friends from the ME group to try the art of t’ai chi.
Instructor Cheryl Beeney gave a brief history of the Taoist T’ai Chi Society and its founder Master Moy Lin-Shin before teaching the group the first movements of the set routine.
Cheryl then went through these movements again with members seated, to avoid getting over tired.
Two of her regular class members helped with the teaching and then they gave us a demonstration of the first movements, which we found most inspiring.
Foggy’s meets at the United Reformed Church.
The next meeting on Friday will provide a chance to share news of new books, articles or items of interest to the group.
