BOOK characters burst off the pages and came to life as children at Coombe Bissett Primary School celebrated the opening of their new library.
Author Angela McAllister performed the honours, watched by an assortment of pirates, dragons, knights, princesses, Vikings, monsters and lots of Wallies from Where’s Wally.
The refurbished library was made possible thanks to a team of hard working parents and Wicks, which supplied the wood.
The school is holding a book week to coincide with World Book Day and has a host of events planned including a bedtime story evening and dance workshop.
