WINDERS John Sadly passed away in Salisbury District Hospital on 5th February 2024, aged 88 years. Beloved husband to Elizabeth. Much loved father, grandpa and great grandpa who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral to take place at Salisbury Crematorium on Thursday 7th March at 3pm. All welcome. A lovlely man who I had the pleasure of meeting when I joined his Tree Appreciation group with Sarum u3a. John was a fount of information and his passion and interest rekindled my own. I will forever think of him when I see a "Pocket Handkerchief" tree. It was one of his favourites along with the Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glptostroboides) a name he loved to say. Such sad news to hear of his passing but some lovely memories to keep of a dear and gentle man. God Bless. X
