Susan Pender

PENDER Susan Susan Pender has sadly passed away after a short illness on 1st December 2022 aged 71 in Toronto, Canada. Sue was the Headteacher in a number of schools across Wiltshire, including St Marks, Salisbury from 2002 until 2008. Following this she become a School Inspector, ran National Training Courses for Headteachers and taught at Reading University. She had a deep love for teaching and made it her life's work to contribute and positively shape as many young lives as she could. She had an active social life and love of travel, which saw her move with John to Toronto, Canada a couple of years ago for a new adventure that has now been cut short. Sue was married to John Pender (a former Headteacher of Castledown School) for over 50 years and leaves behind two sons and four grandchildren. Her family are coming to terms with her loss as she will be greatly missed.
