The first Homington International Arts Festival is fast approaching, headlining with an electronic band who has performed at Glastonbury festival.
Partners Chlöe Herington and Craig Fortnam are music composers, and have organised the village's first ever arts festival.
Craig said: “We’ve lived in the village for five years, originally coming from London. We’ve put on lots of events between us over the years and because we’re arty, and the church isn’t used all that much, we thought it would be a good way to use it in the village as an asset.
“There’s a mix of bone fide artists and amateurs, we wanted it to be a proper arts festival.”
The festival will take place at St Mary The Virgin Church from September 6 until September 8, offering a mix of music, poetry and even a tango class.
On Saturday evening, Snooker supremo Steve Davis will bring his group The Utopia Strong to headline.
Chloe said: “We thought, just because we’re a smaller village, why can’t we have a band that also plays at Glastonbury?”
