FROM fairest creature we desire increase (opening line of sonnet 1) to Love's fire heats water, water cools not love (closing line of sonnet 154), John Cox will read every single word in between of Shakespeare's sonnets, and all in a good cause.
Assistant headteacher and teacher of English at Bishop Wordsworth's School in Salisbury, John Cox is following his marathon readings of The Pilgrim's Progress and Paradise Lost with a sponsored reading of Shakespeare's Sonnets.
The sponsored event is in aid of Salisbury Playhouse's house development fund and will take place on Saturday morning in the new Tesco Community and Education Space starting at 10am.
You can drop in for one or two sonnets, or stay for the entire spoken word event (thought to end by 1pm), and while it is free, donations will be welcome.
