A SALISBURY theatre is celebrating 60 years of staging plays in the city by holding a special evening and inviting all its audience members.
Studio Theatre in Ashley Road is holding a Sparkling Sixtieth gala and dinner next Saturday from 7pm to midnight.
Director of productions Jackie Pilkington said: “As well as members, actors, directors and front-ofhouse and backstage wizards who will be attending, we would like to welcome audience members, who have enjoyed our shows over the years, too.
“Guests will be able to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, a buffet meal – curry, non-curry and vegetarian – bar service including a Firkin of Keystone Ale, dancing to The Rhythm Blasters, an auction of signed memorabilia from theatrical stars including Ian McKellen, Kenneth Branagh, Felicity Kendall and Honor Blackman, an original Allard car dating from the 1950s with which you can have your picture taken and a great helping of enjoyment.”
