THE ground beneath our feet is the inspiration for a new exhibition at a Salisbury gallery.
Martin Urmson, photographer and owner of the Urmson-Burnett Gallery on Winchester Street, has taken closeup images of the Maltings car park and blown them up to poster size.
In addition, painter Rod Hague has created colourful abstracts based on industrial environments which, like the photographs, reveal unexpected beauty in their details.
“When Rod first showed me these paintings we immediately realised that we share a lot of common interests,”
said Urmson.
“The paintings inspired me to create new set of images especially to complement Rod’s exhibition.”
* The show at 34 Winchester Street runs until March 16.
