GET all dressed up for Christmas!
That's the message to Salisbury businesses from Salisbury BID.
In conjunction with The Journal, the BID is launching a Best Dressed Christmas Window competition to get the city centre into the festive spirit.
And everyone is being encouraged to take part with five businesses having the chance of winning £1,000 worth of free advertising once members of the public have voted for their favourite displays.
It's easy to get involved.
All you need to do is send the following to info@salisburybid.co.uk:
- A picture of your window display
- Your business logo
- Around ten words to appear in The Journal on what your business is doing this festive season.
Each entry will get an 8cm by 8cm free portrait space in special pages in The Journal to showcase your window and get as many nominations as possible.
Following the public vote, the top five winning windows will feature in the Journal in the run up to Christmas with complimentary advertising space worth more than £1,000.
There will also be plenty of news coverage in print and online in The Journal on what the business community is doing as we head towards Christmas.
Dan Collins, Business Manager at the BID said: "This is a great opportunity to showcase our wonderful levy-paying businesses and help Salisbury look its festive best.
"We have an amazing city and Christmas is one of those times it is at its finest. We want as many businesses as possible to take part and members of the public to come into the city, enjoy the spectacle and vote for their favourite display.
Head of News at The Journal, Martina Moscariello, said: "The Journal is a community newspaper and Christmas is all about community.
"We are absolutely delighted to be teaming up with Salisbury BID to help with the festive spirit and showcase the brilliant businesses that make the city what it is.
"I would ask as many members of our retail, hospitality and office sectors as possible to get involved with this competition, get Salisbury looking festive and have the chance to win some valuable free advertising with us.
She added: "There will also be lots of editorial coverage in The Journal in print and online in the next few weeks on what businesses are doing for Christmas, with the chance for one lucky reader to win a Gift Card. So please take part in the festive vote."
