A business owner has reached the finals of the most prestigious beauty awards in the UK.
Jamie-Lee Jones, 38, lives in Amesbury and runs her salon in Durrington.
B-Unique Beauty and Aesthetics has been open for six years and is the product of 15 years of hard work by Jamie-Lee.
She said: “The professional beauty award has been a dream of mine since I went into the industry. I’ve entered every year and never come close to being a finalist.
“It’s absolutely incredible, I spent the first day in tears in shock - I couldn’t believe that I’ve done it.”

Her position as a finalist comes under the ‘Employer of the Year’ category, which is due to the changes Jamie-Lee has implemented to support her staff.
Not only does she provide wellbeing packages for staff’s mental health and flexible working, but she makes sure staff only do the treatments they want to and do not feel pressured to carry out every type of treatment.
Jamie-Lee also provides personalised targets for each person to match their own pace, with rewards such as weekends at Center Parcs or team building weekends.
She said: “Some people can do a treatment in 45 minutes, some may take 90 minutes. Every member is treated very individually to their weaknesses and strengths.”
Staff are also encouraged to to contribute ideas to enhance the business.
Jamie-Lee will go to the final in London in March 2025, where the winner will be crowned.
