A COFFEE shop has lost its lease and been forced to close permanently after the owner didn't pay rent.
Triple Two Coffee was seized by Cleaver Keys Holdings, the landlord, on Wednesday, May 24.
The shop, at 35 Blue Boar Row, was supposed to reopen in December 2022 but this date was postponed and Triple Two has been closed since August.
A notice stuck on the window of the shop states that it is illegal for anyone to enter the property unless they have been given prior authorisation by the landlord.
All of the items left inside the property have been stored.
Lauren Peters, from Triple Two Coffee, said: "The property was occupied by a franchisee who unfortunately had to close the business due to rising costs and declining footfall in the town."
