A SALISBURY business has picked up a national award in London this week.
The Salisbury Artisan Wine & Spirit Co, on Winchester Street, was announced as the Small Independent Merchant Wine Buyer of the Year at the annual Wine Buyer Awards.
Liz said: “We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved in such a short space of time and to win such a prestigious award is just incredible.”
The company is only two years old and owners Liz and Simon said they were over the moon to have been recognised as the best wine buyers in their category.

Simon added: “We always knew we had it in us, but this has given us a huge vote of confidence to be recognised nationally and against such stiff competition.”
The company also won Newcomer of the Year at the prestigious National Drinks Retailing Awards in 2022 and just months later, the business also came second in the International Wine Challenge ‘South West Wine Merchant of the Year.'

The panel of judges at London’s Kensington Olympia said: “Our winner here did literally everything right – from getting the back office systems right to clever buying and imaginative ways of dealing with customers.
They have invested in the right stuff since day one and are getting great figures as a result. They have been good at finding solutions to any issues and are clearly having fun with customers and suppliers.”
