NATWEST Salisbury and eight of its neighbouring branches have raised more than £5,000 for Naomi House Children's Hospice.

The money was collected during NatWest's Our Community Week by staff working in Salisbury, Romsey, Winchester, Totton, New Milton, Hythe, Chandlers Ford, Andover and Alresford.

They dressed up and organised coffee and cake mornings, win a bear competitions and craft sales to raise awareness of and money for the hospice, which provides respite and terminal care and bereavement support for children and families in the south of England.

In recognition of the efforts of the nine branches, NatWest added £2,500 to the amount raised.

Tracey Smith, NatWest's area manager retail banking, said: "The teams at the nine branches have put a lot of effort into this and everyone is thrilled with how much we've raised.

"We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us."

Jill Livingstone, corporate fundraiser for Naomi House, said: "I would like to thank all the NatWest branches in the area for their fantastic support. Unlike adult hospices we have to rely on donations, because children's hospices do not receive any government or statutory funding."
