Won three promotions during his Football League career along with the LDV Vans Trophy with Port Vale and the Auto Windscreen Shield at Wembley with Grimsby. Ironically, just before his move to Salisbury, Widdrington’s appearance at Stockport County meant he had played on all 92 league grounds.Suffered a serious knee injury in an FA Cup tie at Eastleigh last term, which ruled him out of much of the remainder of their promotion-winning campaign.
