SALISBURY City climbed to second place in the Conference South thanks to a comfortable 3-1 away win at Yeading today.
Matt Tubbs scored two first half penalties to put the Whites in control before a terrific strike from Jon Beswetherick put the result beyond any doubt.
City conceded a late consolation to take some of the gloss off their success which lifts them to second place, behind leaders Histon who beat Newport County 1-0.
Whites team: Clarke, Bass, Beswetherick, Cook, Bond, Widdrington, Holmes, Prince, Sales (Matthews), Tubbs, Cockerill (Haddow). Subs (not used): Browne, Bartlett, Bulman.
