THE second match in the Wessex Young Athletes Track & Field League programme was a home fixture for CoSARC.
For many of the youngsters this was their first experience of competition. They were hugely enthusiastic and keen to participate in a range of disciplines in field and track events.
The Quad Kids did vortex, discus, javelin and shot put and were a credit to CoSARC and Salisbury.
The weather was pretty perfect for the Edinburgh Marathon, sunny and cloudy but no wind.
The fast, flat route was ideal for PBs, and followed a coastal route from Edinburgh city centre, finishing in Musselburgh.
There was great local support in Musselburgh for the final run-in. Poppy Longdon-Down did very well when she finished in 3:07:38, and knocked five minutes off her previous PB.
At Salisbury parkrun, four members of CoSARC ran superbly well to earn themselves PBs. The two juniors knocked spots off several senior members of CoSARC with their epic times.
They were Kieran McCullam 20:02 and Jamie Harris 20:04. Not far behind were seniors Nick Lay 21:57 and Tony Brown 23:35.
