SALISBURY City registered only their second away win of their Blue Square Premier campaign with a 3-1 success at York City this afternoon.
Matt Tubbs, fresh from scoring for the England National Game XI in midweek against Finland in Helsinki, put Whites in front on five minutes - his 25-yard free kick beating the York wall and goalkeeper Tommy Evans to give him his seventh goal of the season.
The Minstermen equalised on 35 minutes when Paul Brayson headed home from a corner to send the sides in 1-1 at the break.
Tubbs, who suffered a foot injury on international duty, and Scott Bartlett were replaced at the start of the second half by Marvin Brown and Craig Richards.
Goals by Wayne Turk (60 minutes) and Brown (77 minutes) secured a welcome three points for City, who had not won in the league since mid-September.
Attendance: 2,303.
