SALISBURY City rejoined the Blue Square Premier's early season pacemakers after a deserved victory at home to Woking.
First half goals by Matt Tubbs - his third of the campaign - and Darrell Clarke - his first in the league since joining the Whites - put the hosts in the driving seat in front of a new best league attendance at the Ray Mac of 2,093.
City failed to add to their tally despite dominating most of the second half, and were forced to defend late on when Woking sub Guiseppe Sole reduced the arrears.
The result means Whites are among four Blue Square Premier sides on 11 points from their opening quintet of games.
