POLICE have issued a further appeal for information following an attempted robbery in Wilton.
A 50-year-old woman was walking along Water Ditchampton at about 6.20pm last Monday when two teenage boys approached her and tried to steal her bag.
She managed to hold on to the bag and the two boys ran off towards the town centre, but may have cut down towards the water meadows.
The victim injured her knee and had to be taken to Salisbury District Hospital and was left deeply distressed by the incident.
An efit of one of the suspects has been produced. He is described as white, 14 to 15 years old and of medium build with thin lips and a round face.
PC Tom Ellerby said: “The efit image is distinctive and someone will know who he is. This was a distressing incident for the victim and I need the help of the public to catch those responsible.”
The other man is described as white, about 5ft 5in with short dark hair. He had a tidy appearance and was wearing a dark jacket and dark jeans.
Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to call PC Ellerby on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
