THE St John Ambulance in Wiltshire has been hard at work supporting the emergency services during the present weather conditions.

Three of the charity's 4x4 ambulances have been deployed by the Great Western Ambulance Service to help them reach emergencies despite the treacherous road conditions that have prevailed across the county.

One 4x4 vehicle was stationed at Amesbury ambulance station and two were sent to Salisbury. One of St John's road ambulances and crew was also deployed to assist with accidents and emergencies in the west of the county and one manned response vehicle was made available to the Salisbury area.
