A NEW DVD in aid of Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal Caring 4 Kids campaign, has been launched with the help of Journal staff.
The short film, presented by actor Julian Rhind-Tutt, tells the inspirational stories of three children, Andrew, Lauren and William, who all receive regular care at the hospital.
The film aims to show how the Caring 4 Kids campaign makes a difference to thousands of local children and their families, as well as detailing the extra equipment and facilities that the campaign hopes to fund for the new children’s ward at the hospital, scheduled to open in late 2010.
The DVD was made by Journal photographer Tom Gregory, and former employee Lesley Bates, produced and directed the film.
Publisher Bill Browne said: “We are pleased to have played our part in bringing the various worthy causes to the attention of the public, and Caring 4 Kids has to be one of the most important.”
Dave Cates, Director of the Stars Appeal, said of the six-minute film: “It is already proving an invaluable resource in getting our message across to our potential supporters and we are grateful to our founding media partners the Salisbury Journal for donating their time and expertise.”
