A 15-year-old girl was left feeling “shaken and uncomfortable” after she was approached by an elderly man in a long black coat and multi-coloured trousers making “inappropriate comments”, police have said.

The incident took place at approximately 7pm on Tuesday, April 30 on the A360 just off St Paul’s Roundabout. The man was described as around 60 to 65 years of age, with receding grey hair and grey stubble.

Police said the Salisbury Reds R1 bus was passing by as the incident took place, and they are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Wiltshire Police added that a similar incident is believed to have taken place at the same location on Saturday, April 27, when a white van stopped to check on a female.
