FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a "small fire" in the engine compartment of a van.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to report of a vehicle fire at 3.49pm yesterday (Tuesday October 26) on the A345 near High Post.
A crew from Salisbury attended the scene and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "One crew from Salisbury was mobilised to the incident and on arrival found a small fire within the engine compartment of the vehicle.
"They used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown."
The incident was dealt with by just after 4pm.
