FIREFIGHTERS put out a fire inside a refuse lorry in Old Sarum this morning (Friday, May 29).
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 9.10am about a fire on Lancaster Road.
Two fire engines and a water carrier from Salisbury were called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Firefighters found a fire at the rear of a general waste refuse lorry. Two hose reel jets were used to dampen down approximately one tonne of recycled refuse."
The incident was dealt with by 9.42am.
