EIGHT fire engines were called out to a commercial fire in Chilmark this morning.
At around 5.20am Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) attended a fire in an industrial unit, the fire being described as "well established".
Crews from Salisbury, Tisbury, Mere, Shaftesbury, Warminster and Amesbury have been dealing with the blaze.
Ten crews in total were at the scene, where the 40m x 60m building was "well alight".
As of 12.30pm, crews from Salisbury, Gillingham and Ferndown are still on scene, supported by a water carrier from Wilton and Aerial Ladder Platform from Swindon to dampen down hotspots.
DWFRS said: "We received a call at 5.18am about a large fire at an industrial unit in Chilmark.
"10 crews from Tisbury, Mere, Salisbury (two), Shaftesbury (two), Warminster (two), Amesbury and Yeovil attended the incident supported by water carriers from Andover and Pewsey as well as an Aerial Ladder Platform from Yeovil.
"Firefighters found a building of 40m x 60m well alight. Main lines and hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire."
The service has advised if there is smoke from the incident in your area, doors and windows should be kept closed.
