A CAR was destroyed by a fire in West Grimstead yesterday.
Two fire crews from Salisbury were called to deal with the car fire which had spread to a grass verge in Grimstead Road.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two pumps from Salisbury were mobilised to a report of a vehicle and field alight on Grimstead Road, West Grimstead, Salisbury.
"Two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the car fire which had also spread to 20m of grass verge. The car was totally destroyed by fire."
