On behalf of The Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s Charity, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for their incredible support during 2023.

Thanks to the generosity of the local community, during the last year we have been able to fund over £1million of impactful projects at Salisbury Hospital that are making a direct and practical difference to the lives of thousands of local patients, their families and the NHS staff who care for them.

These projects include state-of-the-art heart monitors for expectant mums and their babies, the hospital’s first-ever 3D ultrasound machine, a new plastic surgery theatre, and a virtual reality therapy headset that takes children into magical worlds, far away from their hospital bed.

This is in addition to funding a wide range of ongoing work such as supporting patients with cancer, providing accommodation for parents who have a baby or child in hospital, and keeping patients connected with their loved ones through the Stars Appeal Wi-Fi.

None of this work would be possible without our many supporters and we are hugely grateful for every penny we receive, whether through your donations, fundraising, and poignantly that given in memory of a loved one or through a gift left in a Will.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports us and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.

Mr Graham Branagan

Consultant Surgeon at Salisbury District Hospital and Chairman of the Stars Appeal Clinical Ambassadors
